Quality brake pads

I used to use EBC brakes on my sport bikes and LOVE them. When it came time to change the brakes on my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK, I decided to try them on my Jeep. First let me say that if you have a JK, pay attention to the rear pads! At 53,000 miles I had 2.5mm pad material in the rear while my front pads were still sitting at 6.2-6.8mm. I have other friends with JK and they had the same problem, the rear pads wear out twice as fast as the front pads. I was torn between EBC Green Stuff, Yellow Stuff and Hawk LTS Pads. I did a lot of research (mainly trying to talk myself out of EBC) but decided to give them a try based on previous experiences with the bike. I chose Green Stuff pads because while I usually ride very hard, maybe even a little faster than usual, I realized that race pads would probably be a bit overkill. Especially on a Jeep that's struggling to hit 80 mph. Maybe when I change the pads on the BMW. I chose to pair them with front and rear power slot drives. The performance was immediately noticeable, much better than the OEM. I've been careful to follow the correct break-in procedure, made easier by the fact that EBC coats the pad surface with abrasive material to ensure proper and even break-in. I got a small squeak at about 200 miles, but it was mild and only under light braking. Since then he has disappeared. The pads also hold tight when retracting! After breaking in, the brakes are even better than expected. The power slots are certainly also responsible for the increase in performance, but I often have too much braking power because there is no damping. In fact, I have to relearn the required brake pressure because they grip very well and are exceptionally consistent. I didn't notice any fade at all, even when braking very hard from 85 mph (on a closed track of course!) with 35" tires. As far as Quality Score goes, it's obvious that EBC is very proud of it. into your product. Even the pretty green color they paint the metal with shows the workmanship and they even included a copper anti-seize finish (with front brakes). Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase and will continue to use them on a Jeep. I'm sure Hawks are good too, but you definitely won't be upset if you decide to use Green Stuff bars. Trust me you will love them!
