Review on Howard CF0016 Clean Finish 16 Ounce Household Supplies by Victoria Smith

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal for old antiques.

.like there's a "new" antique?! A wooden watch from Grandpa Brown or Grandma's Sewing Box, although originally a natural color, can look pretty messy. You will never want to replace that original finish with an antique patina or (gasp) varnish [gasp]. God forbid. You only threw half the prize out the door. This product and a simple rag will dissolve some of the centuries old tobacco smoke and kitchen grime that has accumulated, exposing not raw wood like a paint stripper would, but the original finish, if any. And this is usually the case. You'll be amazed. I know. Soap? On wood? It doesn't look like you're using a washing machine detergent. These are special things. You will clean everything in the house. The husband may even shine a little better. Um, maybe not. After the wood has dried overnight, rub it down with some oil. for example lemon oil or teak oil. something for the furniture. It will look like a new antique, beautiful and lasting in value. Grandpa will be very proud of what you've done (but not if you cross it white. EGAD).
