but I thought if I didn't like them they would probably all end up in the bin.

I have Oneida cutlery and a four year old who threw away almost all of our forks. The pattern on them is almost identical, so I decided to give it a try (considering a set of four replacement forks costs $52. I figured I'd get some of the .75 cent forks instead of the $13 - Have forks thrown away). After reading the reviews I figured if I didn't like them they would probably all be in the bin in 6 weeks. They arrived, I put them in the dishwasher and we've been using them for a few days now and I really like them! And for the price I just LOVE them! They're lighter than the original, which I expected, but I was pleasantly surprised that they're a good weight. I hate ultralight cutlery. Some other comments said they were too boring and didn't take food away but we had no problems. Meat, pasta, pastries, pancakes, eggs, 4 year olds and 40 year olds had no problems. We also had no problems with sharp pressing edges. Everything was nice and polished. Highly recommended especially if you have kids and even if you don't have any!
