I picked up a pair to try out the first of 3 matching boxes. They are good enough that I took 2 more pairs to finish the rest. The screws provided with the kit are the perfect length for fastening 1/2" thick material and will easily fit 3/4" thick material. I was able to use the clasps that came with these clasps, which is not always the case. They come off easily like I did with some of them. They look good enough and go well with the other "aged bronze" finishes on my handle and hinges. BUT: they are made of cheap stamped material and the edges are a bit sharp. . This includes the underside of the latch, which is where your fingers come off. I brought a gentle file to the edges of mine to round the edges off a bit. I would NOT recommend these bars for anything that is expected to be used frequently. For my next project I will try something different.
