The lock now turns on randomly when there are no people around! I'm sitting in my living room when it starts! This is advertised as a 30" hood but measures 29-1/2". So if you have a 30" hole, there will be a 1/4" gap on each side. . Why 29-1/2" is weird, I expect it to be a bit smaller to fit the opening, but half an inch is a bit much. Also, the flat top of the device feels a bit short, so got it I made room at the back of the slide out opening so the slope starts from the edge of the cabinet I don't know if this is "normal" but front to back it seems a bit short The power cord is front facing, no to the back so if your power supply is inside the cabinet the power cord comes out right in front of the cabinet opening which again I think is a poor design I had to move it back by cutting the power cord, drilling a hole in the corner, installed a rubber grommet and plugged in. Reconnect the power cord. I wouldn't need to move the power supply or they should make it easier. It should be closer to the back of the unit and not obstruct the cabinet opening avenge. This makes the closet space less useful. There at the back of the device there is enough space for the cable. The main problem with the device is yours is that it turns on when you pass in front of it (see. Video). It's annoying, I have to cover the sensors with small pieces of black tape. The idea of wave motion is a good idea, but it doesn't work the way it's implemented. It's WAY too sensitive, it should only detect movement at less than an inch, it detects at about 10 inches! The manual states that there is no shock included and the shock cannot be mounted directly to the unit. It needs to be installed in the exhaust pipe. However, it comes with a damper installed directly on the unit?!?!?! I ended up removing the damper flap since I have the damper in the tube. What I like The block is very well made, it's durable!
