These black ink cartridges were very cheap so I figured they might not work but I bought a few to try anyway. It turns out they work really well! The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the plastic coating on the connector that transfers the ink to the printer is difficult to remove. At first I couldn't install the cartridge. Then when I compared the old Brother cartridge to the new one, I found that the plastic cover had to be removed. It was stuck to the cartridge so I had to use a knife to remove it. After that it worked great!
