I installed these pads about 300 miles ago. I machined the rotors (as any new performance pad should be) and installed them with new NAPA hardware since the pads didn't come with sliding clamps. After a 200-mile "braking" period (when only a small squeak was heard when stopping) they increased the efficiency and stopping power so it was easy to spot. They are moderately dusty compared to AC Delco pads, but dust washes off more easily than most other pads. I took it off and tested it under load, going from 90mph to 30mph three times in a row in my Grand Prix. Not only did they stop the car confidently every time, but the grip was predictable and consistent, increasing slightly with temperature. I let them cool down because I don't have slotted rotors and I was concerned that by the time I felt them gone the rotors would crack from the heat. After cooling down and I haven't had any noise since then, these pads are completely silent. There are black heat marks on my rotors but no glazing from the pads. I'm very impressed as a mechanic who insists on installing everything OEM. I tried them on a whim and I have no regrets, I will be installing them in my cars from now on! Edit: 3000 miles later, can I add a sixth star? They don't produce dust as much as they used to, are quiet even when it's below zero in winter and still hold up great, they're even very thick.
