Over the years I have tried different devices to mount the phone to the car. They usually fail after the suction cup and plastic phone holder warp after being left in the car for several months. The Bracketron NavGrip XL car window holder is different. It consists of two parts, a suction cup and a phone holder. The suction cup is made of self-adhesive material that easily sticks to window glass or dashboard and requires no pressure to attach. To complete the attachment there is a handle that applies light pressure to the suction cup. If you need to move it, reverse the assembly process and the suction cup mount will come off with a little force. The phone holder holds a variety of phones and they are very securely in place. I have used this phone holder several times in different cars and have had no problems with its working. The only downside to this mounting system is that the car window is too far from your seat and you have to reach for it.
