Review on 🍷 Bormioli Rocco Loto Wine Decanter 1.5L, 42oz: Enhance Wine Aeration and Presentation with this Elegant Decanter by Tim Paolucci

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not the prettiest, but functional and affordable

This carafe costs less than $15 when shipped safe and sound. The thin box it came in had no padding, allowing the glass to bounce around freely. Luckily, the glass is thick enough so it's not too brittle, and the Revain packaging makes up for that. The quality of the bottle is good enough that I'm not ashamed to leave it with diners. The color tones visible in the glass clearly indicate mass production. Hollow glass stopper with plastic coating for a tight and airtight seal. I connected this carafe to a WMF Vino stainless steel 4-way funnel and they work great together. The neck of the decanter is wide enough to accommodate the bottom of the funnel and the wine has enough room to flow gently down the sides of the bottle. A 750ml wine bottle fits in easily, leaving room for the wine to breathe. A whole bottle of Magnum 1.5 liters does not fit in this carafe. I like the shape of this carafe more than the popular wide-bottomed style. You don't have to almost turn it upside down to pour your last glass of wine. I would recommend wrapping a towel or napkin around your neck to catch that lone drop of wine that always tends to linger on your lip. Hooray!
