Review on Atlantic 9663 5495 Disc Organizer Discs by Todd Mohr

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Amazing storage capacity for frameless drives. Huge space savings.

As much as I love having my CDs and DVDs in their original packaging with original sleeves and all, I got to the point where I just didn't have enough space at home and needed to downsize the physical size of my collection . This meant storing many discs without individual cases. Over the years I have used all types of storage media for audio, video, data CDs and DVDs: standard 3-ring binders and 8-disc cases sold separately, Case Logic's unique branded binders, cases for DVDs, which could hold 4-6 slices and so on. No system is perfect, but I found these small 4-booklet cases from Atlantic to offer maximum storage and easy access. These bags can hold books with CD cases, but are too small to hold both a CD and case in one bag. However, without the sleeves, 24 discs fit into each of the four booklets, for a total of 96 discs per block. So I usually use them to store discs that don't have CD cases: CD-Rs with data I've burned, CD-Rs with games, DVDs with movies, etc. Each of the 4 booklets has a window on the spine. which slides out and allows you to write a label on paper. I'd say the only catch is that you can't remove the individual sleeves from the booklets and swap them out. It can be annoying when you fill the booklet with all your discs in a certain order, but then have to insert a new disc somewhere in the middle to keep the order; You have to take the discs out of the case and move them in place to make room. On the other hand, if you have a standard three-ring binder, you can simply open the rings and insert a new bushing all over. As I said, no system is perfect. I have 5 of these devices so far and they serve me well.
