Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Enhance Your Gaming Experience with the 8Bitdo M30 2.4G Wireless Controller Gamepad for Sega Genesis Mini and Mega Drive Mini by Lori Coleman

Cheaper but less compatible than M30 Bluetooth Still cool

Great universal controller. It works as it should with Genesis Mini but also works on Switch, MiSTer, PC and Retropie. This is not a "smart" controller like the Bluetooth version, so it doesn't work with 8bitdo software on PC. You can still toggle between x-input, d-input, and right or left analog emulation with a keyboard shortcut. This also means that on PC and Sega Genesis Mini M30 2.4g acts as a six button dongle controller. If you're using a USB cable on a PC, the extra buttons will work. On the other hand, ALL the main buttons also work on the MiSTer and are wirelessly switched with a key. This has made it my go-to controller for retro gaming. I don't even need to mention the quality of the d-pad and buttons as 8bitdo is known for its quality. It just works great and has minimal input lag since it uses the 2.4GHz frequency. If you want better compatibility and the ability to use other wireless dongles, be sure to spend a few bucks more and get the Bluetooth version. Otherwise it's a great controller for what it does.
