I used to have an entry-level Wahl rechargeable clipper that cost me about $32. It lasted a few years, if that. Very light, seems to have done a good job with my drastically thinning 72 year old hair (or what's left of it). The new Sterling 4 clipper is much heavier. Roughly the same type of fake haircut combs. This version is much sharper, much quieter and cuts much better than cheap clippers. Cost me over $100 including tax and shipping. Of course, the more you spend, the better the quality. The only issue I have with the design is that I can't just pull the blade out to get the hair out of the case. Mine came with no instructions or owner's manual so I had to look it up online. It looks harder to take apart to get rid of the bits of hair, so I blew it out with a can of compressed air. As long as I like it My barber is retired otherwise I wouldn't buy a clipper and do it myself. I'm glad I bought this version.
