Automotive Connector Replacement

Worked for Ford. That the soft seal between the connectors was lost and water, dirt getting into the connectors and corrosion resulted in a loss of signal in the vehicle connections from the sensors to the car computer. I cut the wires and spliced them together and used real soldering where the wires connected and a heatsink with sticky sealant to prevent corrosion at the wire joint. Then connect these connectors after spraying with WD40 and draining. Then they assembled it and the machine is working now. I wonder why auto manufacturers can't use better connectors in their products.
