I bought this remote to replace my old Westinghouse TV that I bought from Target almost 10 years ago (my son chose the buttons on the one that came with the TV ). I got another universal remote as a Christmas present, but I spent a heck of a lot of time getting it to work and the instructions were more complicated than I thought. This remote came pre-programmed and I was able to turn the TV on as soon as I took it out of the box. Simple and easy! The only complaint I have is the design of the remote itself, which isn't very difficult to figure out. However, it can be difficult to find menu buttons or programs to start a channel scan (if you're using an antenna), and it doesn't have as many features as some more modern remotes. Either way, great value for money and an easy replacement if you already own a Westinghouse TV.
