I bought these to fit in a litter box which I have to cut to size. It unrolled easily and lay well evenly (without twisting). It was very easy to cut with a box cutter on the concrete floor (and luckily leftovers are perfect for elsewhere! Bonus!) to get into the crate sometimes) that goes right through. However, taking out the trash is not as easy as shaking it. I took it outside and hosed it down (which I had to do anyway to get the cat pee out) but there was some residue left in the fibers. Due to urinary issues I had to put pee pads on it which negates the option of rubbish collection - but that's my problem, not the carpets! It still works fine as intended!
