Review on JVC KD-BT1 Stereo by Melissa Jones

KD-BT1 bought from Crutchfield. I installed it myself and everything went great. I was able to easily pair it with my Samsung Juke for audio streaming and phone functions. As soon as I turned off the radio, the pairing problems started. When I turned the radio back on, it connected to my phone, but only for audio. The phone's Bluetooth source showed that nothing was connected to it. At the same time, the Bluetooth audio source was successfully streaming/controlling music from my phone. I tried to connect the phone manually over the air but it disconnected 1 second after saying it was connected. I emailed JVC and never received an email reply. I just got off the phone with them and the only suggestion was to keep trying to reconnect my phone. When I told him I kept trying, he said it was the only one he had. From time to time I turned on my car and connected my phone properly. When that happens, radio is great. Haven't installed an external microphone yet, but it seems to work fine wherever I place it in the car. Audio streaming works like a champ, but make sure you hit the stop button before turning off the car as your phone will still play audio through its own speaker. I replaced it and now it works great with KD-BT1.
