Bluetooth Echoes - Automotive & Vehicle Electronics

This was professionally fitted to my husband's Chevy Trailblazer and connected to his Verizon LG "Chocolate" phone. An echo often interferes with telephone calls. Often he prefers to use another cell phone and not to use bluetooth because the echo is very bad.

Surprisingly good! suitable for cars and automotive electronics

I installed this in my '79 Porsche and hooked it up to a pair of JVC speakers and an Ipod adapter. I'm impressed with the system as a whole. High tech for my car, but the performance more than outweighs the dissonance. The built-in Bluetooth bothered me the most. , the quality of communication is unrealistic. I have Bluetooth in another car and I keep having to switch back to the PDA because I can't hear well. This is not the case with this device. Installation was easy and I would do it again…

Nice mix of functions, but no RDS/PTY?!?

Overall, the KD-BT1 has excellent features. The built in Bluetooth works fantastically well with my Blackberry Pearl and with the addition of the KS-PD100 iPod adapter I can now play music from my phone, iPod or flash drive. is that the radio does not support RDS/PTY decoding. (aka Radio Data System, which displays radio station data such as station ID, track and artist names, etc.). It's such a basic feature that even the stock head unit I replaced in my 2002 car had it. It's not the end of…

Works almost perfectly - terrible support from JVC

KD-BT1 bought from Crutchfield. I installed it myself and everything went great. I was able to easily pair it with my Samsung Juke for audio streaming and phone functions. As soon as I turned off the radio, the pairing problems started. When I turned the radio back on, it connected to my phone, but only for audio. The phone's Bluetooth source showed that nothing was connected to it. At the same time, the Bluetooth audio source was successfully streaming/controlling music from my phone. I tried…

Great all-in-one car stereo

I bought this unit mainly because I wanted a cheap unit with built in bluetooth. I have this and more. First, the Bluetooth phone I have (Nokia N95) pairs with this car stereo in about 3 seconds, it's very easy to receive and make calls through the car speakers and the included microphone, and people on the other side of the conversation can hear me . no problem. I installed the microphone next to the dashboard behind the steering wheel. Some of the features on this stereo are just great for…

Great receiver

So far I am very happy with this stereo. I looked for other bluetooth enabled receivers and this one had without a doubt the best features for the price. The menu system takes a little getting used to, but if you spend a little time you can customize it to your liking. , you don't have to mess around too much with lots of different settings - and there are LOTS of them to customize its behavior. While not a true multicolor display, it can set different colors for each input if you wish, or you…

Great car radio!

On June 16, 2007 I replaced the Blaupunkt San Jose receiver in my Honda Accord 2000 4-door sedan (4 speakers) with a JVC KD-BT1. I've also added the SIR-JVC1, a Sirius Radio satellite tuner. The KD-BT1 comes with an external microphone for Bluetooth operation. You can mount it either behind the steering wheel or on the visor. I chose to mount it on the visor because that's where the microphones of most factory installed systems are located. I was able to pair my Verizon RAZR V3C phone with the…

Ok for the price but not without problems

I have been using this radio for about 9 months. I bought it for around $250 and it's hard to get full Bluetooth and USB support at that price. However, there are a few things that people should consider before making a purchase. If I had to do it again, I'm not sure I would make the same choice; I would highly recommend you spend a little more money and buy something better. Here's what I don't like about this radio: 1) My #1 complaint: Poor USB support. Instead of serving the music in a…
