There was an old B.kin that was for 2 devices. They were fine, but their passive nature could be a problem. You couldn't install them on a device if it wasn't already activated. Here you can set it up on PC2 while it's plugged in and it will sit there waiting for you to turn it on so you can press keys during POST etc. Since it is used, being able to install it on multiple computers at the same time was a huge pain with another device. I also ditched the two dual-port connectors in favor of this one. Now of course I can use 4 PCs with one monitor/keyboard so I free up a lot of disk space and tidy things up. Update: You will get this article from time to time when using VGA DP adapters on new PCs. Unfortunately, there is no reset button on the device in this case. To restart you have to pull off all 4 cables, then everything is fine again. It's still a lot more reliable than what I had before.
