Out of the box the device looks elegant. Making coffee is pretty easy and the strainers are easy to clean. I'm not sure how long the coffee stays hot as I usually drink right away. Since it's all metal, it makes a loud "popping" noise when you handle it (not great in the morning). However, I noticed this morning that the paint is peeling off at the top and bottom. It has only been used to make coffee, always hand washed. The paint above peeled off effortlessly, just ran your finger across it. The bottom paint peeled off after a few days. I just didn't notice until recently. The guarantee is of course only 30 days, so no returns are accepted. So here he is, looking ugly. There is little to recommend, so avoid.
