I love Thai food and I love eating with chopsticks. I'm not a fan of the taste of cheap metal utensils so I'm used to using chopsticks and somehow that makes the experience that much more enjoyable for me. I decided to get myself a good pair after speaking to an Asian friend at work who mentioned that he and his wife have their own. I chose wooden ones to avoid problems with metal in my mouth and so far I'm happy with them. The handle design is a very nice touch. Make them professional if there is such a thing. They come packaged in a very nice box and even include a booklet about eating with chopsticks and do's and don'ts, which I thought was pretty cool. It's also nice to have two sets because I can have one in a very nice cloth tote bag at work. I can tell you my friends were impressed with how they look. My only issue with them is that they are a little short for my large hands and are coated in a way that they are a bit slippery which makes things even more difficult especially if you are a beginner. I haven't done this yet, but I could use fine sandpaper to remove some of the coating. I'll wait and see if they wear out on their own. None of these points can make them less than a five star rating. I am very happy with the purchase and the price was more than reasonable. If you are looking for a very cool looking set of traditional wooden chopsticks look no further. Highly recommended.
