I have used the original UCO brass candle lantern for many years. This is ideal for camping when you don't need the brightness or noise of a Coleman lantern, but just need some light to illuminate a small area. I've never had a problem with wax dripping into the candlestick, but I don't move it often after it's lit, so maybe that helps. I have used UCO candles, other brands, citronella and beeswax and they all work well for their intended purpose. I did not notice any particular difference between UCO brand candles and candles from other brands. They all seem to work fine for me. I was glad that this kit included a reflector. I have several mini and mic mics, and I use a reflector on all of them. With this new original flashlight, I sometimes use a reflector when I want a little more concentrated light or don't want the light to fall on me. I polished the reflector with metal polish and made a small drawstring pouch out of t-shirt material to carry it around while protecting it. I simply tuck the lanyard into the cocoon before inserting the lantern with the candle and that way the reflector stays together with the lantern and both are protected. light down, e.g. B. when a lantern is hung over a table or hung in a tent. I also made protective bags for these reflectors. I put a mini flashlight in each of my emergency kits and use the original camping and blackout sizes. Overall I am very happy with all of my candle lanterns and will purchase more as the need arises. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a soft camping light, an emergency kit or a small heat source in a tent or if you're stuck in your car in the winter. These lights are very handy and easy to use.
