Review on POWERTEC 70136 4 Inch 2 Inch Reducer by Cris Drew

I bought 4 of these. One for each of my 4 port woodworking machines. Now I know I should have read the description a little better. I bought them because they were cheaper than Rockler. However, they don't connect properly to any of the 4 port machines I have or the 4 port hoses I use on my dust collector. I decided to dig deeper today as I originally repurchased on November 19th. Well I found they work if I also buy Powertec 70149, Dust Control Flex Cuff. I check the price of these cuffs and find out they cost $10 each. The 4 inch gear I bought was just under $5. How does this connector cost twice as much. Anyway, Powertec should just build a transmission like Rocklers. What you are doing is building the flex cuff feature right into the 4 port end rather than making someone with a plug. The point of these adapters is to connect them to the tool with the 2 1/2" end and the 4" end that you put on the quick connector, which is the fitting for the hose you are connecting. I am sending these back.
