Feels and looks like cheap plastic. The instructions didn't make it clear where to put the battery and I broke one of the top pieces trying to figure out a way to locate it, but it still worked, at least for a while. One day it suddenly stopped working. I thought the thing was broken for me and gave it a bad review, but I'm updating my review because it turns out something is wrong with my laptop and it's not the mouse's fault. After repairing my laptop, the mouse worked again. In my case, she is very hyper reactive. It's not bad or good, it just responds quickly to every slightest movement and scores, which is what I'm trying to point out. Maybe I'm stronger than I think. lol It has trouble working on certain surfaces. That's what I expect from a ball mouse, but not from a laser mouse. I had to buy a mouse pad for that. If your mouse suddenly stops working and you plug it in and the batteries are fine - check your computer - try restarting it. This worked for me. I'm not entirely happy with this mouse, but it's not so bad that I feel the need to replace it like I've done with other wireless mice (mice?) I've used. I wouldn't use it for gaming or where accuracy is important.
