works great, right out of the box I focused it and looked at my ugly skin pores. it's small. about the size of an ordinary lighter, maybe a little more. I'm 28 years old and I lived in a time when not everything was automatic or digital and the knobs are not difficult to turn at all, they resist them so as not to lose the focus set. You don't want to be able to accidentally move the setting. zoom 60-80x is not quiet 100x. but still the pictures are very clear. The colors come out great and I can easily view tricomas on my meds with it. Placement of light and efficiency at height. I took some shots with my phone placed directly on the eyepiece. There is a gap between the lens and the phone, so you see the image in the form of a circle, but it's not there when looking through the scope. I took a picture of the scope and used it on the box it came in and some of my medications couldn't ask for a better deal
