Review on GoBidet Attachable Bidet System Chrome by Jim Agosta

Good product. A simple bidet with no frills, but very well made.

I always thought the bidet was an odd concept, but after trying this particular model at my mother-in-law's house, I saw the appeal. Obviously feels cleaner than wiping alone. I won't go into detail, but for obvious reasons, a bidet is better and can even be beneficial for people with health issues. I ordered this model because of the ease of use and the solid brass/stainless steel. I didn't want cheap plastic. It looks sleek for what it is and fits in almost any toilet bowl. The advantages, in my opinion, lie in the aesthetics of the device. It just looks good. Ease of use is another plus. There are some bidets with more knobs and dials for different shower functions, heated seats etc. This is a no frills model. He splashes water. That's all. The controls are like a faucet in a kitchen sink. A lever that can be moved to adjust water pressure and temperature (water heating nozzle not included). Personally I haven't had the need for a hot water setting, but it is available. During the period of use I just didn't feel the need for additional costs. The simple swing arm is also positive. Move the lever forward when you need to use the system and backward to retract the swing to its original position under the rim. Another point is that it offers excellent maximum pressure. The pressure can also be easily adjusted using the control lever. I feel like there are a few downsides, at least for me, but they're by no means a deal breaker. I would buy this block again. I felt the installation was a bit of a headache. I'm smart enough to do most household chores without difficulty, but this wasn't the smooth setup I'm used to. Every time I turned the water back on I found leaks. I have followed the instructions. Everything is sealed with Teflon tape according to the instructions. The main problem was the T-adapter that connects the water supply to the bidet. The T-piece is threaded directly onto the toilet cistern and fits into the female end of the supply line that you previously disconnected from the toilet cistern. I found this tee difficult enough to tighten, which brings me to my next point. The part of the T-adapter that is screwed onto the toilet cistern is completely rounded except for two very small flat areas. These sections look like a wrench. The small flat areas combined with the fact that it has to be tightened under the toilet tank (limited space and no room for a key) made it difficult to seal well. I tried it first with a crescent wrench but it didn't work. I've found channel lock pliers work best, but the part can still be scratched. I believe the part that bolts to the flush tank should be hexagonal rather than rounded for easier tightening. Also remember that extra Teflon tape can come in handy. The bidet comes with some, but if you run into leaks like I did, you might run out of tape. If you need to re-stick patches after checking/adjusting, they may run out. I found the tape should be enough to get the job done once, but if you need to fix a leak you'll probably need more. For safety reasons, I recommend having a supply before installing. a frilly device that can be less intimidating for those who are nervous or hesitant about using a bidet. You use a lot less toilet paper because you only need a little to dry. Some people may argue that saving on toilet paper will more than offset your water bills. I have a double flush toilet where even the smaller "number 2" can be flushed with the smaller of the flush options, even more so when less toilet paper is flushed. In general, savings are made. The additional water consumption is negligible compared to the cost of toilet paper. The feeling of cleanliness alone is worth the price of the device to me. The worst thing is that you have to shower after going to the toilet. This eliminates the feeling of cleaning with water instead of just wiping. If you buy this device you will not be disappointed. Edit - September 27, 2019 There is very little pressure at the moment. In the past, you couldn't increase more than 40 or 50 percent because the pressure was too great. Over time, the pressure has decreased. And there's always a great spot on the stick that turns into a trickle as you drive by. Before that it was maybe half. Now it's so bad you can just turn it on and get enough pressure to get the job done. Anything but the first little flick of the stick and it's a useless trickle. Not sure what's going on.
