I have a short bike ride to work. I drive several kilometers in city traffic. I was very casual about adding a functional taillight to my bike. In fact, I have so much junk on my bike that the usual light mounting points are already occupied by cases, suitcases, bags, bells, etc. Luckily I found this little product that solved all my problems. Cyclops is a technical masterpiece. . Numerous issues have been considered and solutions have been balanced to ensure the best possible product. Below are some of the technical issues bike taillights face and the solution Blitzu provided at Cyclops. Luminous flux: Light should give off light. The micro LED array is amazingly bright and bright. Daytime visibility is not an issue here either. The stripe layout also registers "THIS IS A MOVING VEHICLE" better than headlights or round taillights. Fixed, blinking and strobe light modes included. - Weight: Cyclops is lightweight due to its sturdy plastic body and small size, which we can tell from its miniature LED array. - Power: Compact rechargeable cell. Standard micro USB interface for mega bonus points. Some have complained that the camera doesn't last long enough. I told you that, especially for the size, it will last long enough for a commuter or regular rider. A small rubber protrusion fits snugly into the USB port when not charging. I'm a little afraid that one day I'll tear this thin piece of rubber, but so far it's working perfectly. Mounting: Someone was smart enough to design a square mounting bracket with enough clearance to mount the light vertically or horizontally. The mount itself is a plastic mount held in place by a rubber band, much like a watch. I ended up removing the piece of plastic to attach directly to the back of the trunk. It was nice that I didn't have to peel or cut the elastic to get it out. I look forward to many years of service as I ride my Cyclops around town. Over the past few months my oldest child, a toddler/developing child, has been attacking the light in various ways. First, I ripped off the rubber stopper covering the micro USB port. It has since been lost. The stem connecting the valve to the plastic body was very thin, making it easy to tear off and lose. Then he dipped the light into the toilet. TOILET! I'm happy to report that despite a brief dry-out period during which the flashlight spontaneously turns on and switches between modes, presumably due to water shorting the pins in the power switch, it continues to function without significant damage. Very happy with this light so far.
