Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Portable Clamping System: Triton SuperJaws SJA100XL XXL - The Ultimate Solution for Heavy-duty Applications by Robert Yates

Poor quality control

Just bought and delivered today. I opened the box and a screw fell out, then a rubber o-ring. When I read and followed the instructions in very small print, I couldn't turn a leg. It turns out that the sealing ring came from there. After disassembling the leg as much as possible, I found a bent spring shooting the ball joint somewhere into oblivion. Now I could turn my leg. The fully assembled nameplate, missing one screw and held in place by a very loose second screw that is not tightened, quickly falls off when checking the clamping system. The clamping system appears to work as advertised over a fairly wide range. sizes. Dedication and experience will tell me more. It's frustrating when I buy expensive new equipment and parts fall off before I can even use it. And you need to fix the problem with using a stuck leg. The ball bearing, O-ring, nameplate and two ill-fitting screws are in the instruction pocket. It's always a good sign to put something together and leave the pieces behind. This is my first Triton purchase and I will be in no rush to buy another one.
