I would pull yours out first and compare your cage to the one in the picture. which is impossible since the edge of the cell is not clearly visible in the image. On my 2005 RX330 the motor assembly fitted but the fan cage did not. It had a wider top outer edge that rubbed against the case when installed, preventing the fan from spinning. I had to remove the old cage and put it on the new motor shaft. A 15 minute exchange turned into over an hour. pull the unit out then remove the old cage etc. Other than that everything works fine once I've done the swap and install.
