This medium is robust and durable. I wanted it for my 17lb Shih Tzu but it fits snugly and looks very uncomfortable. I tried to carry the bag on my shoulders but it felt heavy so I sat down immediately. I have chronic neck pain and his weight was pulling down my neck and shoulders, injuring me. The bag itself is actually quite comfortable, it's soft and doesn't chafe or rub against the skin. If your pet isn't as heavy as my Shih Tzu then this bag is perfect for you and your pet. I also put my 4lb Maltese puppy in my bag. She's not tall enough to stick her head out of her neck, but that's okay. She's also thin enough to pop the hole, but the neckline can be adjusted to make it narrower or wider, making this bag perfect for her. What I love about this bag is that it has multiple pockets to put your water bottle, groceries, snacks, wallet and phone. If you walk a lot or travel with your pet, you need this bag.
