Could be better, but works in some cases.

I bought this for my mother who had a stroke and has partial paralysis of her hand on one side and has trouble flexing her hand and fingers (claw hand). They make hand rests at medical supply stores that are way better than these. You can adjust them to fit your hand. They are made of very comfortable, high quality material. And they are easy to put on without help. However, they can also be more expensive than these and you will have to have them customized. We bought it after my mom lost her high quality one. We are currently unable to leave the house to buy her a new one due to COVID. This one will not be comfortable for most people. It's made of hard plastic and the straps are plastic, not fabric. Most people will probably get a little sweat on their hands while wearing this item. BUT my mom doesn't have much feeling in this hand so it's totally normal for her. It does a great job smoothing out every single finger. Maybe even better than the professional work we did. This wrist is a different story. We had to get an extra strap that went around the middle of the back of her hand. If you need to stretch your wrist, you need to do that too. After all, you can't put it on yourself. Luckily I'm here to take care of my mother, but not everyone has that luxury. So it has some advantages, but it could be better.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Exchangeable
