I wasn't sure if this would work with the 2020 BMW X1 as BMWs usually have ODBII alarms. This is to ensure that no one with a laptop or similar device can take control of the vehicle. I am pleased to report that this power cord works well and does not interfere with the car alarm. I like that the cable is flat which makes it easy to hide. I would give it five stars if it had a switch to turn off the power and some kind of indicator (LEDs?) showing the battery status. The ODB connector sits fairly tight on the connector and isn't that easy to remove unless you're on your knees. Although the cable has built-in low voltage protection (11.5V), a kill switch helps turn off the cameras when the battery is low and in parking mode. This way you give the car some time to recharge the battery while driving.
