This turned out to be heavier than I expected as I was considering it a portable device for my backpack. Maybe it has to be that heavy to be strong enough to hold a laptop. Once I've felt the weight, I really can't imagine carrying it around with my laptop all the time if I have to walk around all day (like on a college campus), but I think it could still come in handy at home . , or on some types of travel. When I first opened it up, I had a hard time figuring out which direction to go and how to set up all the configurations, but after re-watching the product video I figured it out and realized that it's really versatile and appeared useful! I plan to use it at home with my 16 inch MacBook Pro and my 10.5 inch iPad Pro. I'm not sure I'll ever take it on a trip due to the weight, but I think it's worth taking on a business trip where I plan to use my laptop a lot.
