This lock does not meet my expectations. An accurate measurement/description of the cable thickness would be helpful. It turns out that the cable itself is super thin. The body feels thin and cheap. It doesn't take much manipulation to break. That being said, I wouldn't use this lock to lock my bike if it's out of sight for an extended period of time. When in use it would be perfect for a trip to the store just for a quick hop in and out. I ended up giving the lock to my wife because she doesn't bike for transport like me (and leaves it in different places from time to time). Instead, I opted for the much more secure cable lock from Abus. Of course it's better than nothing. But as the old saying goes, "You get what you pay for!" So if you can afford it, spend a little more and get a thicker cable lock. If possible, it is best to attempt this type of purchase in person. As it stands, I don't recommend it. Hope that helps.
