I was using a pair of phone holders as a tripod and inevitably had to change camera settings, turn off my phone or drop it on the floor. The spring-loaded holders always seem to stick and require three hands to use. So the magnets on this mount are strong enough to hold my Samsung Galaxy S8+ when the case is off, but I feel much more secure using the included magnetic sheet that you attach to either the back of the phone or the mount attach. I have several mounts so I just snapped it onto one of them and when I need to use a tripod I pull this bag on with a magnet. (Two magnetic sheets are strong adhesive on one side). If the magnetic sheet sticks to your phone, hit it!. It really sticks to the magnets on the phone holder. I've found that it's easier to take the phone off if you rotate it as you remove it as the magnetic connection is very strong. You will almost never be able to take it off right away. So if you want to seamlessly attach and detach your phone to a tripod in seconds, this is the perfect mount! I wish I had found it sooner!
