One of the rails was slightly warped, the two rails did not align exactly when joined in the middle, and one of the lag screws snapped at the thread to shank junction just as I got the last screw in place. It would have been virtually impossible to remove and replace at that point. I would have had to drill it out somehow after taking the rail completely off again. And, yes, I predrilled the holes with the appropriate sized bit first and, yes, I was using a hand wrench to tighten the screws, not a power driver. And, I'm a 62 yr old woman so, no, I was not exerting excess pressure beyond a snug fit. I have another barn door to install and I will NOT be using this vendor's kit. Poor manufacturing and poor materials.
