My MILk bought a similar product a few years ago. I loved how easy it was to let the rest of the house know what was going on with the dishes. I decided I need one too, but more attractive. This fits the bill. Colors that match our kitchen and go well with it, even without a dishwasher. The fact that it's black with bright colors makes it very easy to spot clean or dirty from anywhere in the room. The slider moves easily which increases the likelihood that my husband and I will actually use it. I would buy it again in the future or give it as a gift. It's a little thing that really makes things a little easier.
