I have a lot of stainless steel cups and glasses but never a stainless steel mug. It's well insulated but not heavy. The lid is thin and comes off easily - which bothered me at first, but it stays in place. It's the CUTEST (I have a cat drawing because I'm a crazy cat lady) and it works so well! The handle is also very comfortable which I wasn't sure about when I first ordered it as it is rectangular and not curved like a traditional handle. In the afternoon at work I often make myself a cup of hot tea. Then a thousand things happen and when I drink it, it gets cold. I usually have to microwave my tea 3-4 times before I drink it completely. This mug allows me to drink tea for a couple of HOURS and it doesn't get cold. It's crazy how well it works! If I'm pouring tea and it's busy, I don't worry now because I know it'll be hot as soon as I get back to it, even if it's 30 minutes later. Also, I love that it has a travel cap because sometimes I drink it late and then find out it's 5pm so I can just take it to the car if I don't finish it first. I also bought one of these mugs for my mom who likes to have a hot cup of tea while watching TV every night. However, she is quite an early riser and often falls asleep several times while watching her shows. So your tea usually has to be put in the microwave several times. This mug is perfect for her! This mug is really worth the money. I would honestly pay more for it, I like it that way. I can not get enough of this! Be sure to buy if you decide, you won't be disappointed.
