If you have a carpet that cannot be machine washed, these towels can work wonders . I have a bath mat that is lying next to the shower door and water is dripping on a section and staining the carpet. A few wipes and a vigorous scrub removed the stains. I have tried this on leather but I would caution you to check for skin color fading. For example, try it on an inconspicuous spot first. I don't recommend them for leather, but they seem to work well on car seats, although they don't seem to remove grease stains from food and french fries that fall on the seat. I also used them to go black. Traces of grease from my home carpet. Either they were tracked down from the garage or my cats are leaving these black marks on the carpet. Either way, regular carpet cleaners are less effective, and these powerful cloths have done the job. So I would recommend it mainly for carpets and fabrics that don't fade.
