Review on DEWALT Dwa4204 Titanium Oscillating Nails by James Mcphearson

I love Dewalt stuff - pretty much all of my Dewalt power tools. Overall I had a good experience with their branded accessories like blades and this is no different. This matches their Quick Release Multifunctional Oscillating Tool (OMT) (which I like - more power compared to the previous rigid model I had) and stays sharp for quite a while. when working with nails, rivets, plastic pipes and wooden strips. 4 stars only because it's currently the most durable blade they offer for their "universal" OMT, but it doesn't fit the Bosch/Dremels carbide tipped version. It may not be fair to compare two different technologies (titanium nitride coating and carbide tipped blades) but considering they offer this as sort of a top of the range blade, the longest lasting blade isn't that good. Maybe it doesn't matter. for you, but I work on old stucco and board houses. In case you didn't know, plaster of paris gnaws through metal blades like no other. I think I can cut about 3 linear feet with one of them in plaster before cutting time if it's double or triple wood. In the Bosch/Dremel version, I use a carbide-tipped blade that cuts through plaster and battens. I wouldn't use the carbide version just for cutting wood unless it's a quick cut - the teeth are too small. Whatever blade you use, there's always room for another. I will continue to order these in addition to the Bosch/Dremel version which requires an adapter to use with my Dewalt. Hopefully Dewalt will offer a carbide version soon.
