I have problems with my hands due to a neck injury and have trouble holding things in my hands. I thought I couldn't crochet anymore. I think I have hooks of all styles, from small handles to oversized. I've found these are the only ones I can "hold" in my hand and no longer cause pain. Yes, the inscriptions are erased, but they are colored, so you can determine the size by color. I used a label printer and reset the dimensions to mine. They pulled out the metal because I broke the plastic due to problems with my hands. The rubber on the end has worn off, but I think that's due to the way I have to hold the hook. They say you get what you pay for. Would I feel you get more if you buy theses? I can't be happier. I have bought 3 sets of these hooks in the last 2 years. I only had to do this because you can't get the hooks individually. I really only use one hook if they are different sizes.
