I bought this blender as a Black Friday gift after my cheap Ninja Master Prep died after about 6 years. I love my Instant Pot so I thought it would be a great investment. It wasn't like that. First, it's very painful to rinse because you can't get the bottom of the jar wet. Second, after about 5 months of ownership, the bottom of the jug started leaking into the base. In addition to being an uncomfortable problem, this is also a safety issue as there are very clear instructions not to wet the base due to the electrical system. Let me clarify that I have this mixer BABIAL. I only used it for smoothies. I've never had the opportunity to use a heating element. I was very careful not to get the electrical parts wet and to dry everything after washing. I am so disappointed in this ruin. I was so excited to finally have a professional blender. It's technically still under warranty, but this thing is massive and insanely heavy, and the cost of shipping it back would be outrageous. especially since I may have another broken blender in another 5 months.
