a quick way to a matte finish and eliminates imperfections too!

So you've just finished your table with a high gloss finish. Glossy polishes tend to be more durable than matte finishes, and in any case, some polishes are only available with a gloss finish. But it's too shiny for your liking. What to do? With steel or non-metallic special wool, you can sand for hours by hand. Or you can spend 20 minutes with an Abralon pad and a grinder. Spray your piece with some water and wet sand with Abralon paper and you'll achieve a smooth, scratch-free matte finish in much less time and effort. This seems to give a much smoother finish than sanding with wool. Or maybe this is your situation: you've just sprayed or brushed a tabletop and then you notice -- a little bump there, a little bump here, a blister or two -- it just doesn't look perfect. What to do? Sand to a minimum of 320 grit, then finish with Abralon paper to a matte or semi-gloss finish. No repainting required! I have all 3 Abralon grit - 1000, 2000 and 4000. 4000 gives a semi gloss finish and 1000 and 2000 gives a matte finish. Both will fit and you'll have to experiment with what you like best. I'm amazed at how long these things last. Wet sanding generally prevents pad clogging, and since the pads can be removed and washed, fine clumps of dust can be removed with little effort. Abralon will save you time and give you a beautiful look. Highly recommended.
