I bought this set with my toddler's scooter last summer. She wasn't interested as she was too small. The set sat in the closet untouched for almost a year. Now my daughter has started learning to ride a scooter and I remembered that I had already bought her protective gear. When I took the helmet out of the closet, it broke in two. The inner part of the edge is peeled off from the top. Considering she's never really used it except for a couple of times trying it on at home when I first bought it a year ago. Hemlet went in the trash. So I figured I'd at least try protective gear for her knees and elbows. She was wearing shorts (it was summer and hot outside). After about 2 minutes she started crying and asked to be picked up. Due to the way knee pads are made, you cannot put them directly on your skin without hurting your baby's skin. Her skin was definitely red and I took her off. But there is no point in wearing clothes over clothes so that they do not sweat in the summer. So she didn't use the helmet at all and used the protective gear for about 2 minutes. Very disappointing.
