Actual cost depends on how many projects are completed

Stupid buy unless you are using it to learn/write software with the IDEarduino IDE (PDF guide currently describes it as mega256 ), but IDE detection is like Arduino , so use it. This whole kit is only around $20 and the price is about right for such a slow processor (when using it for small projects or just learning how to use it).
