Review on πŸ“ž AT&T (1740WH) Digital Answering System with Date and Time Stamp, in White by Todd Calloway

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I don't need an autoresponder with everyone.

I don't need an answering machine with all the bells and whistles. I just need to answer a call and take a message. End of the story. This one does exactly that. I can't say it works as advertised as I haven't used all the features and never will. He does what I need. -- Update -- Now that I've used this machine for a few months, I find I like it even more than when I first started. No, I did not use all functions. It will never happen. What impresses me the most is the simplicity of the machine. All buttons are labeled and they do what they promise. Since using it for the first time, I've found that I don't need to have a user manual handy. In the real world, this is very important. The same cannot be said of many other products. Another thing I like is that when I listen to a message, it stays on the computer until I specifically tell it to be deleted. That is, after I listen to all the messages and a new message arrives, the new message will be played without playing all the old messages. However, on the second press of the play button, I hear old messages. I don't have to frantically search for pen and paper to write down a phone number. I can simply play back the old message and delete it if necessary.
