Took this unit out of the box and started setup. Cables and power supply were fairly basic. This product is very light and the remote control is the same in my opinion. To stream, you need to set up your device with your Wi-Fi information (password, etc.). The first annoyance was having to use the little up, down, left, and right arrow buttons on the little remote and then hit enter every time I needed to select a number or letter for manual entry and setup (which had to be done). for EVERY streaming app I wanted to enable). The second annoyance was that the small and light remote seemed to have trouble transmitting data to the device after setup was complete (there wasn't an object between the path of the remote and the device to interfere, the whole wide open area and the device stood completely unhindered on the shelf). The third annoying issue was that the FIRST TIME USE the device FULLY FROZEN in the middle of the second show we watched on HULU. The fourth and final annoyance was that a RESTART (via the remote or the power button on the unit) was IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT UNPLUGGING. I had to pull the power cord to turn off and restart this unit. My friend bought it without asking me which is why I haven't read any reviews that suggest freezing is a common problem with this unit. We both work full time and didn't set this up straight away when we got it so pretty sure we've passed the return deadline. I'll look at Roku or Fire Stick (which is voice-activated and a third of the price on better reviews). We didn't put a DVD or Blu-Ray in this unit as we basically just stream what we watch. So I can't comment on that part of the device's performance, but the reviews seem to reflect that front positively. But for our needs (HULU streaming, NETFLIX and PRIME V) it's definitely not a satisfying purchase either.
