They are definitely light. You can hardly tell what you're wearing. The material is very thin and comfortable, but also cool. It may not be very warm when the temperature starts to drop. The sole is thick enough for decent cushioning, making it easier to walk around the neighborhood or local mall. The fit was just right for the size. Not too small and not too big. Very happy with these walking shoes.
