Easy update: sockets and accessories

This little device allowed me to install a light switch right next to the door that leads from the main room to the garage. The light switch in the main room is actually around the corner as you enter from the garage (stupid compromise for code reasons on the part of the builder). So if you're entering at night, you'll have to look around the pitch-black room to turn on the lights. Using this remote switch, I installed a tall lamp in the corner of the room, plugged the switch into a nearby outlet, and plugged in the remote just outside the door. Now when we come at night we have easy access to the light. It's very simple and very easy and I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a little more convenience in their life. The plugin switch has a single button that lights up when it's on. You can toggle it on/off by clicking the button. If you need to pair with the remote (or if you buy additional remotes), press and hold the button until it flashes slowly. Then you need to press the power buttons on the remote control. When finished, the light will stop flashing and the remote should work. To clear all pairs, press and hold the button until the indicator flashes rapidly, then press the button again and it will turn off. At this point the remote should not work and you can reconnect it. The remote comes with a wall plate to slide onto and two drywall screws. Simply screw the panel onto the drywall, slide the remote control over it, done. The remote control has a 23A 12V battery. I'm not sure how long it will last, but the remote control is so weak I could easily assume it would last a couple of years, and replacements are cheap and easy to find. Note that there is a tiny piece of paper between the battery and the contact for shipping; Take it out before use or the remote control won't work (it took me a long time to figure out). Interfere with Wi-Fi, cell phone signals, Bluetooth, cordless phones, or smart meters.
