Stops working after one use.*Updated

Worked once on first connection upon receipt. It hasn't worked since then and I've tried it in several different outlets with different things plugged in. I've also tried replacing the battery to see if that was the problem and it still doesn't seem to want to work. Real shame, I wanted it to work. 🤷🏼‍♂️Update from 11/17/18 I was contacted right after the first review. They fixed the problem and immediately sent a replacement and now the switch works as it should!

DANGEROUS. ATTENTION TO THE BUYER.

I rarely have to give negative reviews but this one definitely deserves it. BUYER ATTENTION! Update: In less than a week, both items were blown. Each of them was only used to turn on 1 lamp in the living room and in the children's room. I would NOT recommend it, it's cheap rubbish and unsafe! 1 of 2 I just bought deep fried! Has 24 hour use (USED ONLY FOR LAMP) and its toast. The house smelled awful as the electronics were glad they hadn't burned down my log home. Seriously this is the first…

Pros
  • Very good quality
Cons
  • Reliability

Not the most reliable performance, will return

Advantages: 1. Easy one-time pairing, independent of WiFi2. Great idea for the product as a whole Cons: 1. The wall mount is a little clunky (but definitely not a deciding factor)2. Sometimes you need to press power button multiple times before it works3. There is often a delay/delay - a few seconds between pressing the switch and the light turning on. This prompted me to read the negative reviews stating that it stopped working after about a month. So I've decided to take a pre-emptive strike…

Easy as 1,2,3 electric best

I have two fluorescent lights installed above my desk which I had to manually plug in every time I needed to turn them on as I don't want to mess around with running electrical cords through the wall and installing a light switch. This nifty little thing solved the problem by allowing me to control the lights remotely. I installed a duplex outlet on the ceiling, which was very easy as I had power cords in the attic near the light fixtures. Adding the duplex took less than an hour, pure and rare

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Cord shorter than others

Decent but I wouldn't buy it again

Works as advertised but I wouldn't buy it again for two reasons: - The switch is a bit noisy. a fairly noticeable "click" on both the switch block and the socket block. I use this in my son's bedroom, he is a light sleeper but I can see this being an issue for some. - There is an on/off button on the socket - it's very annoying - the switch glows red, so it clearly attracts the little ones' attention. My son sees the red light on the switch and wants to press it to turn off the light. I would…

Works and is just as advertised, minor reliability issues.

This is the most reliable, easy to set up and affordable device that meets these needs like no other. I gave them one star overall because they can't do their only job 100% reliably, but you won't find much better at this price point. Fix: 6 ceiling outlets with work lights connected are controlled via the main switch, which also turns off the garage door opener. Oops. I can rip off the drywall and reinstall the wiring, or I can spend $60 to leave the main breaker on and isolate the lighting…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Bad experience

wall switches everywhere!

I used to have a similar set of remote switches but one day a faulty lamp shorted out. They are MUCH better than the ones I had before. BETTER THAN SMART SWITCHES: After my last few remote switches blew, I tried using "smart" switches - they're the DUMPEST things I've ever dealt with! If the internet goes down, you can't turn on the light! I couldn't find any battery powered wall switches; so I would have to say "ALEXA! TURN ON THE LIGHT IN THE LIVING ROOM!” I'd rather just hit the switch on…

Pros
  • Wireless Wall Switch
Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model

Easy update: sockets and accessories

This little device allowed me to install a light switch right next to the door that leads from the main room to the garage. The light switch in the main room is actually around the corner as you enter from the garage (stupid compromise for code reasons on the part of the builder). So if you're entering at night, you'll have to look around the pitch-black room to turn on the lights. Using this remote switch, I installed a tall lamp in the corner of the room, plugged the switch into a nearby…

Pros
  • 15A/1875W Heavy Duty High Power
Cons
  • Slightly dented

After careful consideration, I will change my previous review. I didn't delete my previous comments, I just pasted them into the setup instructions for this thing. I am 63 years old, I am disabled and it took an hour and a half with painful movements. Reading this below will make things go much faster for you. I made one mistake after another. Tiny instructions, written primarily for multi-device buyers, are very confusing. How to set up a light switch and receiver plug.1. Plug the receiver…
