I have two fluorescent lights installed above my desk which I had to manually plug in every time I needed to turn them on as I don't want to mess around with running electrical cords through the wall and installing a light switch. This nifty little thing solved the problem by allowing me to control the lights remotely. I installed a duplex outlet on the ceiling, which was very easy as I had power cords in the attic near the light fixtures. Adding the duplex took less than an hour, pure and rare luck. The rest was even easier. I plugged in the receiver and didn't even have to sync it to the wireless switch. With a duplex next to the fixtures, I don't have to look at the cables hanging from the ceiling. The light switch is surface mount so will not fit standard light switches but is perfect for use in stores. The only change I would recommend to this product is adding another outlet to the receiver to have a full duplex outlet. I ended up with an adapter to connect two lights to the receiver.
